Topic:  Mock Trial coach and attorney Nicole Winget gives a powerful talk on how to develop an impactful closing argument

Minutes: 180 minutes

Speaker bio:  Nicole Winget  graduated from Ohio Northern University College of Law in 2009, where she both competed with and coached the trial advocacy and moot court teams. She practiced law in Ohio, focusing on Criminal Defense trial work. Currently, she is an Adjunct Professor of Homeland Security and Criminal Justice and the Assistant Dean of Student Life & Military Campus Leader for the Adult and Online division of Campbell University.  Ms. Winget has coached college level mock trial teams since 2008, both at Ohio Northern University and at Campbell University. She has also served as attorney advisor for a local high school team for five years and has taught at our summer camp for the past three years.  Ms. Winget is a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy and has deployed to Kuwait and Afghanistan. Currently she is works in the Information Warfare Community. In her spare time she is a volunteer for Operation Enduring Warrior, on the International Executive Board of Phi Alpha Delta, and an endurance event competitor.
